Description:

Adrian Hanbury Bell (1901-1980) was an English ruralist journalist and farmer, and the first compiler of The Times crossword. This set is the first illustrated, 'de-luxe' edition of Bell's popular rural trilogy based on his time farming at Bradfield St. George, West Suffolk. (The three titles were originally pulblished 1930, 1931, 1932 respectively). Beautifully illustrated in colour and black and white by Harry Becker (1865-1928).
