Description:

The first of three volumes to be published on the Corticioid Fungi of Europe. Includes an introduction, key to genera, descriptions of genera and species from A to G. Line drawings illustrate microscopical characters of nearly all species. Around 50 species with conspicuous and/or coloured basidiocarps are also illustrated in colour. The work includes all European wood-inhabiting Homobasidiomycetes, excluding Polyporaceae and Agaricaceae, and will include c. 850 species.

Two further volumes will complete the work.
