Description:
Text Spanish. This work is designed to facilitate the identification of native or naturalized vascular plants in the Iberian Peninsula and Balearic Islands. Vol. XI continues the description of orders Gentianales (Gentianaceae, Apocynaceae, Asclepiadaceae and Oleaceae) and Polemoniales (Solanaceae, Convolvulaceae, Menyanthaceae, Hydrophyllaceae and Boraginaceae). Family Boraginaceae accounts for almost half the species studied, with a similar number from the Convolvulaceae, Solanaceae and Gentianaceae combined. In terms of their importance in the peninsular flora, however, the Solanaceae stand out, mainly comprising naturalised species. The species descriptions are illustrated with accurate high-quality drawings.
