A high resolution pictorial collection of fossil echinoids (sea urchins, sand dollars, sea biscuits and heart urchins) of Texas complete with detailed scientific descriptions. A catalogue of all 237 species currently known from Texas, including 1 new genus and 46 new species. 106 of the specimens photographed are type specimens from the University of Texas Non-vertebrate Paleontology Lab, Louisiana State University Museum of Natural Science and the National Museum of Natural History (Smithsonian). Where types were unavailable, representative specimens were used from both institutions and private collections.
