It includes many rare species, such as the Sichuan-Shaanxi taimen and the Chinese paddlefish. Common cypriniformes include grass carp, silver carp, bighead carp, and bitterling, encompassing various subfamilies such as gudgeoninae, bitterlinginae, and breaminae. Siluriformes are also abundant, including catfish, largemouth catfish, and yellow catfish. Other notable species include perciformes such as the bigeye mandarin fish and spotted mandarin fish, goby and swamp goby from the goby family, and the yellow eel from the synbranchiformes.
