Description:

Text Chinese with Latin names. This volume encompasses most species of Hymenoptera, divided into two groups: Aculeata (wasps, blue bees, honeybees, and ants, etc.) and Parasitica (such as ichneumon wasps, gall wasps, and small wasps, etc.). The main distinguishing feature is a constricted abdominal base with a stalk or slightly stalk-like structure. This volume includes the families Ichneumonidae and Braconidae within the superfamily Ichneumonoidea of the suborder Apocrita, totalling 248 genera and 692 species. Based primarily on specimens and literature records, this volume provides detailed morphological descriptions of the species actually studied. Each species is listed with its distribution, main morphological characteristics, and a key to identification.
