Description:
Text Chinese with Latin names. This volume encompasses most species of Hymenoptera, divided into two groups: Aculeata (wasps, blue wasps, honeybees, and ants, etc.) and Parasitica (such as ichneumon wasps, gall wasps, and small wasps, etc.). The main distinguishing feature is a constricted abdominal base with a stalk or slightly stalk-like structure. This volume includes the superfamilies Aculeata, Vespidae, and Apoidea within the suborder Apocrita of Hymenoptera, totalling 19 families, 215 genera, and 728 species. Based primarily on specimens and literature records, this volume provides detailed morphological descriptions of the species actually studied. Each species is listed with its distribution, main morphological characteristics, and a key to identification.
