Description:

Text French. Looks at the invertebrates found in the various habitats of the Loire region of north-west France.

The ‘Pays de la Loire’ region, thanks to its surface area and especially its geographical location, offers a great diversity of landscapes (coast, river, forest, marshes ...). They all host a particular fauna. This book focuses on invertebrates (insects, molluscs, arachnids, worms, crustaceans...) of each of these environments. Too often unknown to the general public, these "little animals" are nevertheless very useful, if only by often being witnesses of the state of conservation of our environment. This book is also an invitation to walk and an incentive to observe instead of see. However, people could be classified into two categories, nature lovers and others. The first, whatever the environment chosen for their walk, will necessarily find a chapter that will inform them about the small fauna they are likely to meet. This book should therefore easily find a place in their library, or even become a useful companion for their hikes. For others, this book is a boon but also a risk. This is an opportunity to undermine their ignorance of invertebrates and perhaps, at the same time, they will go from total indifference to a certain interest. The "risk" is that they change category. But that's kind of the goal?!
