Large-8vo, orig. cloth, some wear, rear joint with 6cm split to head; top edge of textblock spotted. Occasional marginal pencil annotations. Ink stamp of 'The Home Library Club, Colombo' to rear pastedown. From the library of Michael Bryant, Hampshire ornithologist, with his book plate. Loosely inserted are: a number of sheets of hand-written ornithological field notes, with small pencil sketches of birds, dating from October and November 1944, Matara, Ceylon; 4 contemporary typed sheets with listing birds from Galle Fort and the Galle District, Ceylon; a few other hand-written lists of birds.
