Description:

First edition. Rare privately published memoir of Octavius Pickard-Cambridge (1828-1917), an English zoologist and clergyman. He was born in Bloxworth, Dorset, and succeeded his father as rector there in 1868. He was best known for his work on spiders, including Spiders of Dorset (1879-1881).

Condition

Small 8vo (196x135mm), orig. cloth-backed boards, spine a little darkened, some light spotting to front board, edges uncut, occasional light foxing to text. Vg.
