Description:
Text Chinese, scientific names in Latin. The Mid-Cretaceous Amber Biota of Myanmar dates from the Late Albian to the Early Cenomanian, situated around the Early Cretaceous and Late Cretaceous world lines, approximately 100 million years ago. It is the most diverse known Mesozoic biota and provides crucial evidence for studying Late Mesozoic terrestrial (nearshore) ecosystems, particularly offering significant insights into biological evolution during the Cretaceous terrestrial revolution. This book is primarily based on over 40,000 Burmese amber specimens collected by the author's research group over the past decade, along with extensive research on the Burmese amber biota, including arthropods (hexapods, arachnids, myriapods) and plants, as well as marine organisms epiphytic on amber. Furthermore, it introduces major amber-producing regions worldwide and recent amber discoveries in China.
