Rare monograph on the British species of this family of parasitic wasps. Complete in eight parts, originally published in Transactions of the Entomological Society, London. Chromolithographic plates by the author and others. Thomas Ansell Marshall (1827-1903), studied Classics at Oxford University. Later he took holy orders, holding a number of livings, including a period in Antigua in the West Indies. Although interested in all aspects of entomology, he had a special interest in parasitic Hymenoptera.
