Description:

This report is accompanied by a scarce separate folio, of two Supplementary Atlases of large coloured folding geological maps. These folios were published later, consiting of: Supplementary Atlas No.1. Geological Maps of Portion of the Mt. Margaret Goldfield (Plates numbered IV-IX ); Plates 1-3 are coloured geological maps in the Text volume; Supplementary Atlas No.2. Geological Maps of Mining Groups and Plans and Sections of Workings (Plates numbered I-XXII).

The Preface states ‘This Bulletin deals with the general and structural geology of an area of 6,500 square miles of country consisting predominantly of rocks of Pre-Cambrian Age in the Mount Margaret Goldfield, and summarises the economic geology of the various mining centres therein in a series of tables. Gold is the principal mineral of economic importance’.
