Coffee is a major tropical crop, yet the trees and beans are vulnerable to numerous species of animal and insect pests that can cause major damage for coffee farmers. This work seeks to give a comprehensive overview of our current understanding of the insect threats to coffee growers. Also loosely inserted are two papers on Coffee and insects (1). Coffee Insects by R. H. Pelley (reprint from Annual review of Entomology Vol. 18, 1973, pp. 121-142). And (2). The Dissemination of Coffee cultivation throughout the world by M. Bigger (from the Tropical Agriculture Association Newsletter March, 2006, pp. 15-19).
