Condition
Small 8vo, orig. cloth, decorative gilt title to upper board and spine, spine slightly faded, boards lightly speckled; some wear to head/foot of spine. Foxing to the endpapers and final text leaves. Good.
Provenance: From the library of British naturalist and conchologist Ernest William Swanton (1870-1958), with his signature to the verso of the front free endpaper. E.W. Swanton was curator of the Haslemere Educational Museum and author of British Non-Marine Mollusca (1906). Early French bookseller's ticket to the front endpaper and contemporary manuscript notes in pencil (in French) to the recto of the rear free endpaper.
