A classic children's history of Scotland by the popular Scottish writer and educator Henrietta Elizabeth Marshall (1867-1941). Beginning with the legendary Prince Gathelus and tracing the nation's history through such figures as Macbeth, William Wallace, Robert the Bruce, and the Stewart kings, the narrative concludes with the reign of King George IV. Marshall explains her stopping point by observing that Scotland thereafter 'has no more a story of her own - her story is Britain's story.'
