First edition. Coloured illustrations by A.F. and C. Lydon. Richard Bowdler Sharpe (1847-1909) was a British ornithologist and museum curator, author of some of 19th century's finest books on birds, such as 'Monograph of the Kingfishers' (1868-1871).
Condition
Crown 4to, orig. dec. cloth, gt, minor rubbing to head and foot of spine, slight bump to top corner of front board. Previous owner's inscription to endpaper. Vg.
