Facsimile Reprint (originally published 1805, Apud Carolum Reichard, Brunsvigae). This volume is devoted to Diptera. Johann Christian Fabricius (1745-1808) was a Danish entomologist and a student of Linnaeus. He is considered one of the most important entomologists of the 18th century, he described many new species and established the basis for modern insect classification.
