8vo (225x148mm), recent cloth, gt title to spine, orig. wrappers retained (a little soiled). Vg. H.A. Macpherson's copy with his name to front wrapper. Rev. Hugh Alexander MacPherson (1858-1901), clergyman and ornithologist, was author (with W. Duckworth) of The Birds of Cumberland (1886) and A Vertebrate Fauna of Lakeland (1892).
