Five of the plates are lithographs by the author illustrating fossils.

Condition

8vo, orig. brown, blind-stamped cloth, rebacked preserving original spine. Some spotting to prelims, plates slightly foxed, but cleaner than often found. Good. Bookplate of the British Ornithologist and bibliographer, Willam H. Mullens (1866-1946).
