Attractive run of New Naturalist vols comprising: main series vols 1-115 (1945-2010); Monograph series 1-22, all published (1948-1971). The majority are 1st editions with the exception of vols 1, 2, 3, 60, Monograph 7 (reprints), and vols 4 & 7 (2nd eds); vol. 82 is present in both editions. Vol. 100 (Woodlands) is the scarce 1st ed. variant with plain endpapers.

Condition

138 vols, all in orig. publisher's green buckram with d/w's. Main series vols 1-52 & Monographs 1-22 with d/w's neatly sealed in non-removable self-adhesive protective covers; Vols 4 and 10, price-clipped. The set includes 1st editions of the "Golden 14" - nos 70-83 with some fading to d/w spines, as usual, mostly light to moderate, but more pronounced to vols 74, 75, 80, 81, 83 (2nd ed); vols 70 (Orkney) and 71 (Warblers) with only very minor fading. A few others with volume number to head of spine faded. Vols 53-68 with orig. publisher's Duraseal protector. The first 30 vols of the main series and half of the Monograph series have a small owner's name stamp to endpapers. Overall a very attractive set.
