Charming miniature set of Shakespeare's works. Easily readable in 6-point typeface. Printed in Scotland by Andersons Edinburgh Ltd. For Allied Newspapers Ltd., the complete set was made available to newspaper subscribers. Although the set is undated, the verso of the title page of As You Like It states that the volume was “One of the plays chosen for presentation for the inauguration of the Shakespeare Memorial Theatre, Stratford-on-Avon, April 1932″.

40 vols, miniature (52x35mm), orig. faux-leather, marbled endpapers, displayed in the original custom-made three tier plywood bookcase (225x198mm). Very good set with clear titles to spines (which are often indistinct).
