One of the fine chromolithographic plate by Frohawk, printed by West, Newman, to illustrate a paper by Walter Rothschild (text not supplied), 'Notes on a Collection of Lepidoptera made by William Doherty in Southern Celebes during August and September, 1891', published in Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift "Iris" Bd 5. Depicts three species from south Sulawesi, Indonesia (Celebes), Acroea dohertyi, Charaxes mars and Charaxes nitebis. One figure is finished by hand. [Plate VI].
