The four fine chromolithographic plates by Frohawk, printed by West, Newman, to illustrate a paper by Walter Rothschild (text not supplied), 'Notes on a collection of Lepidoptera made by William Doherty in Southern Celebes during August and September, 1891', published in Deutsche Entomologische Zeitschrift "Iris" Bd 5. The plates depict species of Pieridae and Nymphalidae from south Sulawesi, Indonesia (Celebes), Huphina celebensis, Chlorochropsis dohertyi, Nasuma celebensisAppias dohertyi, Delias wallacei, Yphthima celebensis, Huphina dissimilis, Acroea dohertyi, Charaxes mars, Charaxes nitebis, Neptis variabilis, Neptis albescens. One figure (Charaxes mars) is finished by hand. [Plates IV-VII].
