Description:
2 volumes. Text French. Bruno Michel is a renowned specialist in Thysanoptera. Here, he presents the first work dedicated to the 246 thrips species known to date in the French overseas territories (Guadeloupe, Martinique, French Guiana, Mayotte, Réunion, New Caledonia, French Polynesia, and Wallis and Futuna). This fauna allows for the identification of all these species thanks to keys and 1,173 photos and figures. Beyond the territories studied, it covers more than a third of the species of agronomic importance known worldwide, including crop pests that have become cosmopolitan. It is therefore intended for professional entomologists, agronomists working in tropical and temperate environments, as well as amateurs wishing to begin the study of Thysanoptera.
