A detailed history of the journal which commenced in 1853, and the contribution which Lankester made,is presented in a paper, Fifty Years of the ‘Quarterly Journal of Microscopical Science’ under the Editorship pf Sir E. Lankester, Vol. 64.(1).
Condition
5 vols in 20 parts as issued, one wrapper with a note to the binder pasted to front, several of later wrappers detached, brittle and chipped to edges. Some with stamps of The Horniman Museum. Good/poor.
