8vo in 12s (220x130mm), rebound in recent half calf, marbled boards, raised bands and gt floral motifs to spine compartments, leather title piece. Several dried specimens enclosed, one (Scirpus acicularis) in a folded sheet of paper, dated 1845 in manuscript, with the name Henry Addenbrooke, Solicitor, Stourbridge. This specimen, as well as several others between leaves of tissue paper, also come with small paper slips annotated in pencil with species name, two with locations in Worcestershire (Barnts Green, Lower Bittel Res.).
