Complete set of this classic work by the Norwegian specialist on Crustacea, G.O. Sars (1837-1927). Vols II-VIII are the original edition, Vol. I is the 1966 reprint. Important taxonomic treatise on the marine Crustacea, with many new species and genera described. Treats in total more than 1,000 species, with ca 2,400 pages and more than 1,100 printed plates (autography), all based on skilfully and minutely prepared drawings by Sars himself.

4to, 9 vols bound in 10, the two volumes comprising Vol. I, which is a reprint edition, are slightly shorter than the remaining volumes (which are all the original edition), but all are bound in uniform later buckram, leather title-pieces. Minor fading to spines. Owner's name to endpapers. Rarely available as a complete set in this condition. Vg.
