Commentative set of stamps, printed 12th February 2009, by Royal Mail celebrating the 200th anniversary of Charles Darwin's birth and the 150th anniversary of the publication of On the Origin of Species. The set includes six "jigsaw" shaped stamps which symbolise how Darwin's studies of different disciplines helped to develop his theory of evolution. Also includes a special sheet of four stamps illustrating the wildlife of the Galápagos Islands includes: the Flightless Cormorant, Giant Tortoise, Floreana Mockingbird and Marine Iguana.
